Jamia Millia Islamia Approves Student Union Constitution, Sets May 15 Deadline

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has approved the implementation of its student union constitution with a deadline of May 15, 2027. The university directed protesting students to end their agitation immediately. An order dated October 29 also revoked all disciplinary actions related to the protests. Elections will be held within six weeks of the academic session starting around July 16, 2027, following Lyngdoh Committee guidelines.
