Scientists using the James Webb Space Telescope have identified the host galaxy of the farthest known fast radio burst, FRB 20240304B, located about 10 billion light-years away. This signal dates back to when the universe was around 3 billion years old. The burst was initially detected by the MeerKAT radio telescope, and this discovery doubles the previous distance record for such signals.
