ISS Experiment Shows Space Slows Seed Growth but Mars Farming Feasible
In 2015, ESA astronaut Tim Peake took rocket seeds to the International Space Station for a pioneering study. After his return, 8,600 UK schools participated in analyzing the seeds in a citizen science project. Results showed that space conditions affected seed growth and aging, but the seeds remained viable, supporting plans for growing food on Mars.
