Cyclone Arnab has intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm over the west-central Bay of Bengal. Heavy rainfall is forecast for coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and East Uttar Pradesh between October 27 and 29. South Coast Railway cancelled 53 trains on October 27-28, and schools in Andaman and Nicobar were closed on October 27 as a precaution.
