In a special NIA court in Maharashtra, an accused in the Islamic State (IS) module case threatened to kill the judge during Thursday's hearing. The court ordered the accused, Tabish Siddiqui, arrested in July 2023, to appear via video conferencing only, citing his attempt to feign mental illness to avoid trial. Meanwhile, the fourth World Hindu Congress will be held in Mumbai from December 18-20, inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, with over 4,000 Hindu leaders and representatives from 60 countries expected to attend.
