WorldIranian Airlines Resume Flights to Najaf After US Exemption
Iranian airlines have resumed flights to Najaf, Iraq, following a US exemption granted to Baghdad that allows sanctioned Iranian carriers to operate to the Shia holy city. The first flight by Caspian Airlines landed at Najaf International Airport at 5:15 pm local time. Iraq secured an agreement permitting 40 daily flights, excluding Mahan Air, after enforcing the US ban last month.
