Iran Sets 7 Conditions for Reopening Strait of Hormuz, Plans Missile Range Expansion
Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US meets seven conditions from a June interim agreement. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized Tehran's firm stance, based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Iran proposed reopening the strait within seven days if conditions are met, but the US has yet to comply. Tehran also plans to expand its missile range.
