Iranian Security Council chief Mohsen Rezaei met Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, who has not appeared publicly since March. The meeting followed talks with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, members of the Mecca mutual defence pact. Khamenei emphasized the link between culture, politics, economy, and security, and stressed pursuing Iran's interests and conditions for ending the war. These talks aim to de-escalate the Middle East conflict triggered by US and Israeli attacks on Iran.
