Alireza Sepahi, arrested during Iran's January protests, married his fiancee Mahshad Kashani by phone just before his execution. Sepahi, 25, was hanged on October 5 in Isfahan's central prison after being convicted of membership in an armed group and endangering national security. He was executed alongside Alireza Raissi, 21, amid a crackdown that has seen 34 executions related to the protests, which involved violent clashes and a severe government response.
