IPS Officer Alok Kumar Challenges Incorrect Info in Phone-Tapping Case
Alok Kumar, DGP of Prisons and Correctional Services in Karnataka, has written to the Chief Secretary expressing dissatisfaction over incorrect information given to the Supreme Court in the phone-tapping case. He stated that despite a 'B-report' clearing him, he was portrayed as an accused. The High Court had formed an SIT led by him to investigate recruitment conspiracies in KPSC, but the state government appealed to the Supreme Court, which approved replacing him as SIT head.
