IOC Profit Jumps 2.7 Times in Q2 on Lower Crude Prices
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) reported a record profit of Rs 22,503 crore in the September quarter, a 2.7-fold increase from the previous year. The surge was driven by a decline in crude oil prices between July and mid-August and strong margins in petrochemical and gas segments. In contrast, IOC posted a loss of Rs 1,241 crore in the June quarter due to high crude prices amid the West Asia war.
