On Friday, mobile internet was suspended around Jantar Mantar as Delhi Police detained about 500 protesters demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. The protest included AAP leaders and student activists. Internet was cut within a 1.5-km radius from 9 am to 9 pm. Delhi Metro closed 12 stations including Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat. Police declared the protest unlawful and removed demonstrators.
