The partial shift of international flights from Mumbai Airport to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has been postponed to March 2027. The Ministry of Civil Aviation asked Adani Airport Holdings Ltd to delay the move after airlines called the original timeline unachievable. Mumbai Airport planned to move 265 weekly international flights from Terminal 2 starting October 25 to accommodate domestic traffic during Terminal 1 redevelopment. The decision was made without consulting airlines and discussed in a meeting chaired by civil aviation secretary Samir Kumar Sinha.
