Insurance and NPS Equity Investments Drop 45% to ₹22,714 Crore in Q2
Insurance companies and NPS funds reduced their combined investments in Indian equities by 45% in the September quarter, investing ₹22,714 crore compared to ₹41,465 crore previously. The shift is due to higher bond yields and falling stock prices, leading them to prefer debt instruments. Meanwhile, mutual funds maintained heavy equity investments this quarter.
