Infective Endocarditis Less Common After TAVR Than SAVR
A study shows that infective endocarditis occurs less frequently after Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) compared to Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR). This finding highlights the lower risk of infection associated with the less invasive TAVR procedure, which is increasingly used for treating aortic valve disease.
