Industrial Employment Crosses 2 Crore in 2024-25: Govt Survey

According to the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) for 2024-25, total industrial employment in India surpassed 2 crore, rising from 1.96 crore in 2023-24 to 2.10 crore, a 7.19% increase. The manufacturing sector led this growth, adding over 14 lakh workers. Total wages also rose by 12.08%. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana accounted for 56% of manufacturing jobs.
