Indigenous AIP System Enhances Indian Submarines' Underwater Endurance

India's diesel-electric submarines will now stay submerged longer thanks to the indigenous Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system developed by DRDO. The second phase of the AIP energy module began at L&T's Hazira facility in Gujarat, inaugurated virtually by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. The system allows submarines to charge batteries underwater, reducing exposure to enemy detection and increasing underwater endurance.

RSS to Hold Route Marches at Seven Tamil Nadu Locations on October 25
