Indiana Executes Jeffrey Weisheit; Executions Scheduled in Florida and Alabama

Jeffrey Weisheit, 50, was executed by lethal injection in Indiana for killing his girlfriend’s two children in a 2010 house fire. Two more executions are planned in Florida and Alabama the same day, marking the second time this year three executions occur simultaneously in the U.S. Weisheit’s appeals for sentence commutation and brain scans were denied by Governor Mike Braun.
