Indian Space Startup Sends Car Bonnet to 21 KM Using Balloon

Chennai-based aerospace startup Aero Launch India conducted the HAB0226 mission, sending a car bonnet to 21 kilometers altitude using a balloon instead of a rocket or spacecraft. The bonnet, fitted with a paint protection film, was tested under extreme conditions of minus 50 degrees Celsius, low air pressure, and intense UV radiation. After nearly two hours, the payload was safely recovered, showing no significant coating damage.
