ScienceIndian Scientists Demonstrate 5.56 km Quantum Communication Link
Indian scientists successfully demonstrated a quantum-secure communication link over 5.56 km of open air, connecting the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) with IIT-Gandhinagar. The equipment was provided by QNu Labs from Bengaluru. This marks India’s first free-space quantum-key distribution (QKD) link, enhancing communication security by detecting eavesdropping through quantum physics.
