Indian Rupee Recovers from Record Low with RBI Support
The Indian rupee recovered from its record low against the US dollar, closing stronger by 42 paise at 95.36 per dollar. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) took supportive measures that helped the rupee gain strength, making it the strongest performer in Asia at one point, reaching 95.01. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attributed the rupee's previous decline to external factors and highlighted RBI's role in strengthening the currency.
