Indian Pilot Stabbed Mid-Flight Airlifted to Abu Dhabi for Treatment

Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar was stabbed by his co-pilot during a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The Boeing 737 was diverted to Tabuk Airport, Saudi Arabia, where Machchhar was initially treated. He was then airlifted to Abu Dhabi for advanced medical care. Despite serious injuries, Machchhar unlocked the cockpit door, enabling crew and passengers to subdue the attacker. All 174 onboard landed safely. Machchhar has over 13 years of experience and was praised by leaders for his bravery.
