Indian Navy Sailor Arrested for Leaking Defence Data to Pakistani Spy

A 31-year-old Indian Navy sailor, Pradeep Mukherjee from West Bengal, was arrested in Coimbatore for leaking sensitive defence information to a female Pakistani intelligence operative. The Counter Intelligence Cell of Andhra Pradesh police made the arrest at INS Agrani, where Mukherjee was attending a management course. He was commissioned in 2014 and posted under Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam. The leak followed an online honeytrap by the Pakistani operative.
