On May 27, 1997, an Indian Air Force MiG-25 spy jet crossed into Pakistani airspace for a reconnaissance mission. Flying at Mach 2.4 and an altitude of about 20 kilometers, the jet captured photographic intelligence of selected locations in Pakistan.
