Indian Bank Gains Rs 1,388 Crore from NSE Share Sale
Indian Bank reported a Rs 1,388 crore gain from the sale of NSE shares, boosting its second-quarter non-interest income by 50% to Rs 3,953 crore. This one-time gain helped offset pressure from rising bond yields, despite Rs 123 crore in mark-to-market losses. In contrast, Canara Bank and UCO Bank saw declines in other income due to weaker treasury earnings.
