Indian Airlines Cut Domestic Flights Ahead of Diwali and Chhath

Indian airlines are reducing domestic flights by 2.6% weekly in November 2026 compared to last year’s festive month, due to rising fuel costs, weaker rupee, and lower passenger demand. Weekly flights will drop from 22,912 in October 2025 to 22,306. Air India cut the most flights, especially on Hyderabad-Tirupati, Delhi-Hyderabad, and Delhi-Leh routes, with reductions ranging from 47 to 86 weekly flights on various routes.
