The Indian government plans to mandate the Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), a key Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, in all new car models from October 2030 to reduce road accidents. For models produced before 2030 but still in production, AEBS will be compulsory from October 2032. A draft notification detailing timelines for various ADAS features will be released soon, allowing industry and users time to comply.
