India to Launch Indigenous Smartphone Brand by October 2028

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that India will introduce a fully Indian-designed and manufactured smartphone brand by October 23, 2028. Speaking at the NDTV World Summit 2026, he highlighted India's progress in electronics manufacturing and semiconductor development.
