India to Build New Shakti Engine Line with ₹218 Crore Investment

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate several defence projects, including launching the Indian Navy's first Fleet Support Ship (FSS-1) and laying the keel for FSS-5 in Visakhapatnam. He will also inaugurate upgraded facilities at Hindustan Shipyard. In Odisha's Koraput, he will attend the delivery of the 2,000th aero engine and lay the foundation for a second Shakti engine production line, a ₹218 crore project to boost indigenous helicopter engine capacity.

The injured Indian sailor is receiving medical treatment in Romania. The Indian Embassy and Ambassador Manoj Mohapatra are in contact with authorities and confirmed the three Indians are in good health.
