India Targets ₹3 Trillion Defence Output, ₹50,000 Crore Exports by 2029

India aims to increase defence production to ₹3 trillion and defence exports to ₹50,000 crore by 2029, announced Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This requires a 69% rise in annual production from ₹1.78 trillion in FY 2025-26 to about ₹3 trillion, and a 25% increase in exports from ₹40,000 crore to ₹50,000 crore. Defence production rose from ₹46,429 crore in FY 2014-15, and exports from less than ₹2,000 crore in 2014 to ₹40,000 crore now.
