BusinessIndia-Switzerland Agree on $100 Billion Investment, 1 Million Jobs Target
India and Switzerland have agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, technology, education, and defense. During Swiss President Guy Parmelin's visit, PM Narendra Modi discussed the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), which commits $100 billion investment from EFTA countries in India over 15 years. The goal is to create 1 million direct jobs. Over 340 Swiss companies operate in India, with many involved in manufacturing, R&D, and exports.
