India Signs ₹4,106 Crore Defence Deals for GSAT-7C and Varunastra

India has signed defence contracts worth ₹4,106 crore for the GSAT-7C communication satellite and Varunastra heavyweight torpedoes. The ₹2,563-crore GSAT-7C deal aims to enhance secure communication for the Indian Air Force, while the ₹1,543-crore Varunastra contract will improve the Navy’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities. Lt Gen D.P. Pandey highlighted GSAT-7C's role in addressing communication gaps from Operation Sindoor.
