India's Solar Power Generation Rises Nearly 49% in Q3 2026

India generated about 56.9 billion units of solar electricity in Q3 2026, marking a 48.6% increase year-over-year from 38.3 billion units in Q3 2025, according to Central Electricity Authority data. However, solar generation fell 9.4% quarter-over-quarter from 62.8 billion units in Q2 2026. Monthly generation rose steadily from 18.1 billion units in July to 20.2 billion units in September.
