Retail vehicle sales in India fell 23.8% year-on-year in October, mainly due to a 28.35% decline in two-wheeler sales to 23.21 lakh units. Passenger vehicle sales also dropped 14.23% to 5.07 lakh units. The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) attributed this to the shift in the festive calendar, with Navratri in October but Dhanteras and Diwali moving to November. October sales were 25% higher than September, showing month-on-month growth.
