India's Population Census to Begin January 25, Excluding Poll and Snow-Bound Areas

The 2027 population census in India will be conducted from January 25 to February 28, excluding poll-bound states and snow-bound regions. The reference date is March 1, 2027. Self-enumeration is available from January 10 to 24. The revisional round will occur from March 1 to 5. States excluded include Manipur, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, and certain areas of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
