India's Kaveri Engine Clears Russia Trials for Ghatak UCAV
India's DRDO-developed Kaveri dry engine has successfully passed high-altitude and flight trials in Russia, achieving a peak dry thrust of 48.5 kN, exceeding expectations. This milestone paves the way for its certification and integration into Ghatak, India's stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV). Flight trials with the Indian Air Force will follow, with induction expected in 2-3 years. The engine was tested at Russian institutes CIAM and Gromov Flight Research Institute.
