India's GST Collections Rise 23% to Rs 2.31 Lakh Crore in October

India's gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased by 23% year-on-year to Rs 2.31 lakh crore in October, driven by higher domestic sales and a 42% rise in import tax collections. This is the second-highest monthly GST revenue recorded. Domestic transactions contributed Rs 1.59 lakh crore, up 16%, while net GST collections after refunds grew 26% to over Rs 2.03 lakh crore.
