India's foreign exchange reserves fell by $1.269 billion to $719.748 billion in the week ending October 30, according to the RBI. The previous week saw a $5.011 billion drop to $721.016 billion. Reserves peaked at $785.706 billion on September 4, boosted by a $133 billion concessional swap from the diaspora. The decline is linked to FCNR(B) resource deployment and RBI's dollar sales to defend the currency.
