Bengaluru-based startup Pranos Fusion is developing India's first privately built tokamak nuclear reactor to produce fusion energy. Their small tokamak, PRAGYA, tests plasma control and superconducting magnets. By 2027, they aim to finalize the design of a larger reactor, PRANIK, which will heat plasma to millions of degrees to fuse hydrogen and generate energy.
