India rejected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's references to Jammu and Kashmir during his United Nations General Assembly address, calling them "unwarranted." Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Kashmir is an internal matter concerning India's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and no external party has any locus standi on the issue. India maintains Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of the country.
