Starting October 16, India increased the windfall tax on petrol exports from 0.5 to 2.5 rupees per liter, while reducing the diesel export tax from 16 to 8.5 rupees per liter. The ATF export duty remains at 10.5 rupees per liter. These changes aim to balance domestic fuel availability amid rising West Asia tensions and prevent exporters from making undue profits. Domestic fuel tax rates remain unchanged.
