India's free trade agreement (FTA) with New Zealand will come into force on 20 October, announced Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. Labour-intensive sectors like textiles, apparel, leather, footwear, gems, and jewellery will benefit from duty-free access to New Zealand, India's second-largest export market in Oceania. The FTA aims to boost exports amid global supply chain shifts and is expected to attract $20 billion in investments into India. New Zealand will get preferential access to 70% of Indian products.
