India has recommended continuing the anti-dumping duty on natural mica-based pearl industrial pigments imported from China for the next five years. The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) found Chinese products were 10-20% cheaper than Indian industry prices. Following a petition by Sudarshan Chemical Industries, duties of $299 per metric ton on Fujian Kuncai and $3,144 on other Chinese producers are proposed. Cosmetic grade pigments are exempted.
