India Condemns US VP Vance's Remarks on Indian IT Workers
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs condemned US Vice President J.D. Vance's remarks calling Indian IT professionals "indentured servants" as "unwarranted" and "deeply offensive." Vance and US Labour Secretary Keith Sonderling suspended the PERM program for eight IT firms, including five major Indian companies—Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and HCL—accusing them of visa fraud. India highlighted the skilled contributions of its professionals to the US economy.
