India Achieves 1.7% CBG Blending in H1, Aims for 3% Target

India achieved 1.7% blending of compressed biogas (CBG) with domestic piped natural gas and vehicular CNG in the first half of the fiscal year. To meet the mandated 3% target, CBG sales must accelerate in the second half, rising from 115.9 MMSCM to 408 MMSCM. The government targets 4% blending by 2027-28 and 5% thereafter, with schemes supporting increased CBG production from organic waste.
