The Income-Tax Department has contacted select taxpayers owning undeclared residential or commercial properties in the UAE as part of the Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers — Disclosure Scheme, 2026 (FAST-DS). Launched on August 16, the scheme offers a one-time opportunity to declare undisclosed foreign assets and income by paying a specified tax or fee. The deadline was December 31, 2026, with around 1,100 taxpayers applying so far.
