IN-SPACe Issues New Guidelines for Indian and Foreign Hosted-Payloads

On September 17, 2026, IN-SPACe released new norms for authorisation of hosted-payloads under the Indian Space Policy 2023. Indian entities owning hosted-payloads on Indian or foreign satellites must obtain IN-SPACe approval. The guidelines support private Indian companies, known as Non-Government Entities, in deploying payloads for Earth observation, space science, communications, and technology demonstration.
