The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for very heavy rainfall along the coasts of south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh starting Wednesday. Orange and red alerts have been issued for Andhra Pradesh due to a low-pressure area expected to bring heavy rain over the next three days. Heavy rains are also forecast in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Madhya Maharashtra.
