IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms in 15 Indian States

The India Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms across 15 states due to active monsoon withdrawal systems. These weather systems span from the Himalayas to southern India, causing rain, lightning, and gusty winds that lower daytime temperatures and bring early winter chill. Northern states like Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand face ongoing rain and lightning, while Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi see sudden thundershowers. Eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Northeast states also experience active rains and thunderstorms.
