WorldIIT Bombay Students Start Hunger Strike Over Suicide Case
Students at IIT Bombay began a hunger strike at Justice Corner demanding accountability and action following the suicide of a second-year B.Tech student on September 18. The protest comes after the student's parents were denied police permission to continue their hunger strike at Azad Maidan. Students demand the resignation of director Shireesh Kedare and professor Suryanarayana Doolla, and call for an independent investigation into the death.
